10/07/2009 - USPS PRIORITY MAIL TRACKING UPDATE

I received a reply from the USPS. They are aware of the problem and are working on a fix. In the meantime, they gave me a workaround, which I have used to update my order status system so that tracking will work for the "0550" series labels, and it will be able to provide tracking numbers that work for future orders as well. So, if the tracking number you were provided is coming up with an error message that says there is no record of the item, use the Check Order Status link to pull up your order and you should find that the tracking link now works.

10/04/2009 - USPS PRIORITY MAIL TRACKING IS BROKEN

It appears that the US Postal Service has recently changed their priority mail labels. The label numbers used to start with the numbers "0103". As of 9/30/09, the labels begin with the numbers "0550". Unfortunately, tracking at the USPS web site for the 0550 series labels does not appear to be working. When you place an order via the Steiger Performance web site, you will receive an e-mailed shipping notification with tracking info as usual, but please be aware that if the label number of your package begins with "0550", you will probably not be able to track it.

I have notified the US Postal Service about the problem, and I will be sure to post here with any relevant updates.

I have been receiving a few e-mail inquiries in regards to the status of the Jeep Liberty power window regulator repair kits, so I thought I would add a news item here to bring everyone up to speed.

2002-2006 rear window kits: Available now
2006-2007 rear window kits: In beta testing; hopefully available within a few weeks
2002-2006 front window kits: In beta testing; still making a couple of design tweaks
2006-2007 front window kits: In progress; no ETA as of yet (could be a couple of months)

08/11/2009 - WNY FLOODING CREATES TEMPORARY DELAY

Some massive thunderstorms and even a tornado or two hammered the Western New York area on Sunday night and Monday morning, causing considerable flooding and damage. You may have heard about it, since the governor declared it a disaster area and the storms/damage made the national news. The Steiger Performance shop did not suffer any water damage to speak of, but power outages took down our web site and ordering system as well as causing a delay filling orders which were placed over the weekend. If you placed an order from Saturday 8/8 through Monday 8/11, the shipment of that order was delayed by one day. Everything is basically back to normal now though and all of the delayed orders from the weekend have been shipped as of today (Tuesday). My apologies if the delays and web site outage caused any inconvenience.

05/16/2009 - JEEP LIBERTY KIT COMING SOON

I've developed a repair kit for the rear windows of the 2002-2005 Liberty (it will also work on some 2006 models). A number of units have been in the hands of beta testers for a couple of months now and the kits should be available for purchase within a few days.

I do not have an ETA on a kit for the front windows as of yet. As a reminder, although I am no longer in need of rear window regulators for prototyping purposes, if you've got an '02-06 Liberty with a broken front regulator, I'd be interested in taking a look at it. 09/07/2008 - ATTENTION JEEP LIBERTY OWNERS!

I am currently in the process of developing a repair kit for Jeep Liberty window regulators, similar to the one I offer for the Cherokee. This kit is in the R&D stage, and I could use your help! If you have a broken Jeep Liberty power window regulator, I'd like to take a look at it. 07/17/2007 - DISCONTINUED PRODUCT - MPI INTAKE MANIFOLD INSTALL KIT, FUEL RAIL SPACERS AND BOLTS

Now that the 2bbl MPI intake manifold has been on the market for a few years, the demand for the 4bbl install kits has basically declined to the point where I can no longer justify the expense of stocking the parts required to put these kits together. This was a product that served an important purpose during that time period between the introductions of the 4bbl and 2bbl intakes, but now that the reasons for installing the 4bbl version have basically dried up, this install kit is one that time has passed by. This is a somewhat sad day for me as the MPI kit was basically the product that created Steiger Performance. Back when the 4bbl was on the bleeding edge and there was very little direct Mopar support for installing them on our trucks, I'm glad I was able to play a role in helping folks to achieve that goal. Many thanks to everyone who purchased an install kit, and in so doing, helping to bring Steiger Performance to life!

6/11/2001 - ORDER STATUS FEATURE ADDED

Steiger Performance customers can now check on the status of their orders via the web site. I know what its like to place an order and wonder what's happening. :-) With this feature, you can check on your orders and see how it is progressing, what is going on in the event of delays, get tracking numbers where applicable, etc. In order to check on the status of an order, you will need to know the order number.

1/31/2001 - MPI KITS IMPROVED AGAIN

MPI install kits for '92-'95 engines (SP01001, SP01002) now come with EGR bolts. The kits have always contained an EGR blockoff plate, but you were required to re-use your stock hardware. The new bolts are grade 8 steel with a black phosphate finish. An additional benefit over the stock bolts are their larger head which should ease installation and removal as well as eliminating the annoying tendancy of the stock bolts to round off. The prices of the kits are unaffected.

1/22/2001 - VIRTUAL SHOPPING CART

SteigerPerformance.com now features a virtual shopping cart. This is a huge improvement over the old "one click" PayPal ordering method. An immediate benefit is that MPI kit purchasers can now specify the configuration of their vacuum tree on-line; no need to place your order and e-mail me with the config seperately!

11/4/2000 - MPI KITS IMPROVED

All MPI install kits now come with four locator studs which should greatly help when dropping the intake manifold down onto the engine. By making sure the intake will be lined up perfectly the first time, they eliminate the chance that you will need to move the intake after it touches the block. This should help to ensure a solid, leak free install. Also, those kits that require the ECT gauge temperature sensor to be relocated now also come with a couple of ring style (crimpable) electrical terminals which will allow you to ensure a good ground for the sensor. The installation guide (now version 1.10) has been updated to reflect these changes.
The prices of the kits remain the same as before.

10/3/2000 - 4BBL INSTALL KIT IN HOLDING PATTERN

I apologize for the delay in releasing the 4bbl throttle body install kits. I thought they'd be done by now, but I've been waiting for some items from the machine shop which I need before I can proceed any further. As soon as they get caught up and get my parts to me, the prototyping will commence! (If you would like to be notified when the kit is ready, please send an e-mail message to 4bbl@steigerperformance.com.)
Note: Prototyping for the 4bbl install kits has been permanently discontinued.

10/3/2000 - MPI PASSES SNIFFER!

I suspected it would, but have had to wait until an MPI equipped truck's inspection came due in an area which does more than just a visual inspection. That has finally happened, and now we have the cold, hard facts in black and white! :-) For the details, please check out the Emissions sub-section of the MPI Benefits page.
